Requirements

  • Knowledge of customer and Aptiv EOS requirements
  • Understanding of product, process, and LPA audits
  • Familiarity with control of non-conforming material procedures
  • Ability to participate in root cause analysis for customer complaints, internal complaints, FTQ top offenders, and red tags corrective actions
  • Knowledge of IATF requirements for product and process audits
  • Understanding of rework processes and disposition of non-conforming products
  • Proficiency in corrective action implementation, follow-up, and validation tools (e.g., DPS, LPA’s, Fast Response)
  • Awareness of 5S, WPO, quality gates, and operator certifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper administration of quality inspectors and improve resources available, including workloads and presenteeism in final assembly (FA) areas
  • Meet with auditors to review problems from previous shifts and communicate to manufacturing technicians
  • Ensure proper follow-up for product audits at final assembly areas, including walk audits, execution, training on IATF requirements, and requesting action plans for demerits
  • Ensure proper follow-up for process audits and LPA audits in all final assembly processes, including walk audits, execution, training on IATF requirements, execution of LPA audits, requesting action plans, validating key stations, securing operator certifications, 5S walks, shelf audits, quality gate verification, and sampling/certification
  • Prepare presentations and coordinate daily communication meetings for red labels, internal complaints, and customer complaints
  • Conduct walk audits at quality technician levels and monitor pending action plans
  • Ensure control of non-conforming product per procedures, including documentation, records maintenance, proper disposition, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for top quality issues
  • Ensure corrective action implementation and follow-up for internal and external complaints, including deployment of information (Quality Gates, VPS, Process Letters, Work Methods, Fast Response Tracker), validation of effectiveness, and Look Across for complaints, FTQ top offenders, and red tags
