Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing operations; extrusion or polymer experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, measurement tools, and inspection requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Proficient with measuring devices: tape measure to 1/32”, calipers, micrometers, gauges
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Working knowledge of ICC-ES requirements or ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with SPC, CAPA, root-cause analysis, or other quality tools preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and enforce plant quality systems, testing requirements, and inspection standards aligned with ICC-ES and Deckorators specifications
  • Oversee quality checks throughout the manufacturing process including raw material receiving, extrusion, cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, and test criteria and ensure all operations remain within acceptable limits
  • Stop production and escalate immediately upon detection of non-conformance to prevent quality escapes
  • Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues or customer complaints
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, test data, quality logs, and compliance records
  • Support Engineering and Process teams in qualification of new materials, product trials, capability studies, and continuous-improvement projects
  • Prepare and manage quality dashboards, reports, audit summaries, and compliance documentation for plant and corporate leadership
  • Train production teams on measurement techniques, quality standards, and proper documentation practices
  • Support and participate in internal audits, regulatory reviews, and corporate quality system assessments
  • Promote a strong quality culture throughout the plant, driving engagement and accountability at all levels
  • Perform other duties as required to support quality and plant performance
