Requirements

  • Minimum Middle school certificate
  • Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend)
  • Six months of related experience in manufacturing process required; one or more years preferred
  • Intermediate electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, preferred
  • Advanced reading, writing, and math skills (12th grade level)
  • Inspection skills
  • Knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
  • Must complete training and become certified in Quality Assurance within six months and maintain certification
  • Basic PC skills (keyboarding, mouse usage, Google Workspace or MS Windows, familiarity with Plexus software)
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods, handle PCBs (turning, flipping, angling)
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, visual acuity for inspection equipment, magnifiers, cameras
  • Physical stamina, strong manual dexterity, fine motor control for precise measurement equipment and delicate tools
  • Ability to work in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with PPE

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production
  • Visually inspect sub-assemblies and HLA level products using magnifier or other tools, lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection
  • Participate as required in root cause activities
  • Enter standardized information into GSF
  • Supervise work area according to 5S standards
  • Keep supervisors informed and escalate issues when needed
