Requirements

  • Knowledge of quality compliance and manufacturing operations
  • Ability to monitor manufacturing processes and address quality issues quickly
  • Experience leading containment, purges, quality alerts, and development of inspection strategies (receiving inspection, pre-ship inspection, out-of-box-audits)
  • Capability to ensure creation and maintenance of Certificates of Compliance, including deviation documentation
  • Skills in creating and maintaining manufacturing quality history documentation
  • Understanding of customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
  • Ability to act as primary interface with customers on quality matters and reduce RMAs
  • Experience participating in and supporting regulatory and customer audits
  • Adherence to Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to design templates for documents, file types, and document databases
  • Skills in driving cross-functional teams for continual improvement on yield and quality metrics

Responsibilities

  • Build and embed Quality Awareness in Operations by ensuring effectiveness of training and inspections
  • Educate operators and production associates on quality and compliance procedures
  • Ensure compliance of customer requirements, industry standards, and safety in the workplace
  • Serve as primary interface with customers on quality-related matters and lead improvements to reduce Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)
  • Participate in and support regulatory and customer audits at site
  • Monitor own work to ensure quality standards are met, identify opportunities to improve quality, and eliminate waste, scrap, or rework
  • Keep supervisors informed and escalate issues when needed
  • Drive proactive continuous improvement on yield and quality metrics by designing templates for documents, file types, and document databases
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver continual improvement
