Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing automated test cases for backend services, RESTful APIs endpoints, and frontend components using Webdriver.IO, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Support contract testing efforts (e.g., Pact) under guidance from senior engineers to ensure API compatibility
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and basic performance tests for Node.js/Express.js applications and PostgreSQL database interactions
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker) with support from the DevOps team
  • Participate in infrastructure validation for AWS ECS Fargate, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, and CloudFormation deployments
  • Assist in accessibility testing aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards, ARIA roles, and automated audits (axe-core)
  • Collaborate with frontend teams using React.js and Material-UI to ensure smooth API consumption and UI quality
  • Document test results, defects, and compliance evidence for audit readiness
  • Learn and apply observability practices (logs, metrics, traces) using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
