  • Physical ability to support operational teams in manufacturing environment (PPE required; walking, standing, sitting, using computer/office equipment; inspecting, qualifying, troubleshooting, improving jigs/fixtures/manufacturing methods)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous quality compliance during manufacturing operations; monitor operations to address quality issues quickly; provide quality alerts and lead containment/purges when required
  • Lead development of inspection strategy for receiving inspection, pre-ship inspection, and out-of-box audits
  • Ensure Certificates of Compliance are created and maintained, including documentation of deviations
  • Ensure creation and maintenance of manufacturing quality history documentation as required
  • Build and embed Quality Awareness in Operations by ensuring effectiveness of training and inspections; educate operators and production associates on quality and compliance procedures
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and safety in the workplace
  • Serve as primary interface with customers on quality-related matters; lead improvements to incoming customer inquiries to reduce Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)
  • Participate in and support regulatory and customer audits at site
  • Understand and follow Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance; monitor own work to meet quality standards; identify opportunities to improve quality and eliminate waste; deliver work to eliminate scrap or rework; keep supervisors informed and escalate issues
  • Drive Proactive Continuous Improvement on Yield & Quality Metrics by designing templates for documents, file types, and document databases
  • Drive cross-functional teams to deliver continual improvement activities for internal processes and deliverables
  • Provide supervision to Quality Assurance Inspectors and Technicians; guide Quality Assurance operators, group leaders, and technicians in ongoing quality improvement activities
