Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance. A minimum of 2 years of experience with automation frameworks like BDD, Gherkin, and Cucumber is required, along with strong coding skills and hands-on experience with web-based automation tools such as Selenium. Knowledge of API automation testing using Postman/Rest Assured, SQL, Rest APIs, JUnit/TestNG, and scripting is essential. Experience in building efficiency, HVAC systems, and energy is a plus, as is exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes. The ideal candidate will have an 'Automation First' approach and strong problem-solving skills.
The QA Specialist will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality, conducting thorough testing of APIs, databases (SQL), and user interfaces. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback, creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases, and collaborating with product owners and development engineers on quality and automation needs. The role involves automating manual tasks to reduce effort and minimize production incidents, developing and applying testing processes for products, and writing test automation code following best practices. The position requires approximately 70% of time dedicated to automation testing and 30% to manual testing.
