Requirements

5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering
Proven expertise with Cypress using JavaScript or TypeScript for UI and API test automation
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and testing processes
Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and clearly communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

Lead test automation efforts: Design, build, and maintain robust Cypress test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript for UI and API testing, ensuring high coverage and code quality
Contribute to automation strategy: Define and enforce best practices in automation, supporting the overall test strategy with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance
Optimize test frameworks: Continuously review and enhance automation frameworks to reduce execution time and improve flexibility and efficiency
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with developers, testers, product managers, and business analysts to troubleshoot issues, align on test priorities, and ensure product quality
Mentor and guide the QA team: Share best practices, perform code reviews, and support junior and mid-level testers to elevate the overall technical maturity of the team
Integrate automation into delivery pipelines: Implement and manage Cypress automation within CI/CD workflows for continuous quality assurance
Communicate results and improvements: Analyze test results, generate metrics, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership
