Candidates should possess 4+ years of QA engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to automated testing. They must have experience in building code-based automation frameworks, proficiency in test automation using Selenium and Java, or Cypress and JavaScript, and hands-on experience crafting test strategies, test plans, and test cases. Professional SaaS experience, particularly working on customer and user-facing test experience, is required, as is efficient effort estimation, planning, prioritization, and time management.
The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with development teams to create automation strategies and deployment processes, integrating automation testing protocols with existing code and engineering processes. They will design, develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests, performing both automated and manual testing efforts for Writer and its extensions/integrations. The role involves maintaining and improving automation frameworks, conducting operational and performance tests, and communicating in a clear and concise manner while taking initiative on assigned projects and tasks. Additionally, the engineer will proactively communicate, be flexible and positive, and work autonomously with minimal direction.
