Requirements

  • Bilingual English and Spanish (verbal and written) in a business setting
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, from ideation to release
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, end-to-end, API, performance, and usability testing
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms: Web, iOS, Android, and Chromebooks (common in schools)
  • Strong understanding of bug management systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git) and branching schemes
  • Experience working in agile environments, participating in sprint ceremonies
  • Ability to communicate software issues clearly to development and management teams
  • 3+ years of experience in a QA role
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, content, and curriculum teams
  • Ability to mentor junior testers or contribute to improving QA processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root-cause analysis
  • Familiarity with education technology products

Responsibilities

  • Participate in thorough testing across all products
  • Support the development and implementation of testing strategies, standards, and best practices to meet quality goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Product Management, etc.) to ensure seamless and timely releases
  • Conduct manual testing efforts, with an option to explore automation solutions, if beneficial
  • Assist in managing the bug reporting process and ensure accurate documentation of defects
  • Monitor player or user feedback on live issues, bugs, and service interruptions through support channels
  • Work with customer support teams to prioritize and address player-reported bugs or concerns
  • Help maintain a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement within the team
