Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college related to construction management, architecture, or engineering; or Associate's Degree and 2 years of experience in construction management, inspection, and/or monitoring of construction projects
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office and AutoCAD required; additional experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant construction software preferred
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Resides in the area of New York, NY
  • Provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Officers in overseeing work performed across various school projects in New York City
  • Review documents submitted for City required building and other permits for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain database of information, both physically and digitally, ensuring all information is readily available for review and audit
  • Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies
  • Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry, review and/or approval
  • May be required to work closely with Plan Examiners in reviewing documents for City Building Code and for guaranteeing compliance
  • Research existing building status from City records at various agencies
  • Perform related tasks
