Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years of previous construction experience, preferably as a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an industrial environment. A thorough understanding of plans and specifications is required.
The Project Engineer will plan and design individual components, higher level assemblies, and other mechanically functioning equipment. They will translate technical guidance from the supervisor into usable engineering data for assignments and large projects. The role may involve guiding technicians or drafters on specific projects and supporting Pre-Bid requirements. The engineer will carry out assignments related to design, development, and manufacture of specific parts and components, coordinate activities of Level I engineers or technicians, and work closely with other engineering disciplines to improve production quality, efficiency, or volume. Collaboration with other departments and external field personnel to develop installation methodology for new designs is also expected.
