Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Finance, Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline
Seven or more years of project management experience preferred in the pharmaceutical/biological industry working on a variety of projects
Five years of Project Management Office experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and resources
Demonstrated effective use of available software and tools to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of resources to complete necessary work on schedule
Demonstrated ability to interact with varying levels of colleagues at the site and across the network, as well as consultants, contractors, and suppliers
Understanding of cGMPS, USDA regulations, Zoetis Quality Standards, and Good Engineering Practices
Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time
Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently
Must be able to work weekends as needed
Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 25 lbs
Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting
Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Responsibilities
Deliver Project Management Office (PMO) oversight, guidance, and management of project portfolio for the Charles City, IA site, consisting of large and small capital improvement projects as well as operational projects across the site
Assist Zoetis project teams in procurement and project tracking, including C.I.P. (Construction in Progress) reports, and project closure reports
Coordinate with Zoetis colleagues at the site as well as across the organization to implement projects effectively and efficiently to meet the organizational strategies and goals
Work with finance team to close out projects and capitalize project funds
Administer the Project Management Office structure and governance to achieve site and organizational strategies and goals
Ensure compliance with Zoetis quality standards, state and local codes, FDA/USDA/EU/EPA/OSHA regulations on all assigned capital projects
Ensure adherence to relevant SOP’s and standard work documents needed to perform work associated with the department
