Requirements

  • Ability to use and align the organization with AEP project management organizational standards and adhere to guidance from the AEP Project Management Governance Committee
  • Capability to manage programs as assigned
  • Relevant education, experience, interview evaluation, and internal equity commensurate with Project Manager levels (Principal - grade 9, Staff - grade 10, Staff Sr. - grade 11)

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more intermediate and/or complex projects, up to the highest-level project complexity or a program area of projects, within a matrix team environment
  • Provide leadership, direction, training, coordination, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close projects in a safe, efficient, economical, risk-balanced approach to achieve short- and long-range goals and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Provide project transparency and develop relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders (internal/external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, industry peers) to enable sound business decisions
