Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising assigned project and outage work activities
Skillful and successful use of project management principles and techniques (Waterfall, Agile)

Demonstrated proficiency in supervising, developing, reviewing, and coordinating project/outage plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff

Skills in developing and managing procurement plans for necessary outside resources, including managing contracts (developing RFPs, evaluating bids, selecting vendors, contract negotiations, overseeing performance/quality)
Proficiency in managing closeout processes, including analysis of project success with respect to objectives and benefits
Ability to use and align the organization with AEP project management organizational standards and adhere to guidance from the AEP Project Management Governance Committee
Capability to manage programs as assigned
Relevant education, experience, interview evaluation, and internal equity commensurate with Project Manager levels (Principal - grade 9, Staff - grade 10, Staff Sr. - grade 11)

Responsibilities

Manage one or more intermediate and/or complex projects, up to the highest-level project complexity or a program area of projects, within a matrix team environment
Provide leadership, direction, training, coordination, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close projects in a safe, efficient, economical, risk-balanced approach to achieve short- and long-range goals and maximum customer satisfaction
Provide project transparency and develop relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders (internal/external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, industry peers) to enable sound business decisions
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise assigned project and outage work activities for customers
Effectively manage cost and timely reallocate funding; communicate project/outage details and status updates

Provide clear and concise written reports
