Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects, overseeing all phases from budgeting and bidding through closeout, while ensuring financial goals are met.
Essential Functions
- Client Relations & Bidding:
- Active participation in RFP responses, including presentation development and pitching.
- Prepare accurate and timely budgets and bids, including scope reviews and leveling of trade partner bids.
- Participate in the presentation of pricing to clients.
- Support client retention by adding value during preconstruction and contributing to successful project buyouts.
- Participate in business development and client relationship management through industry events, networking, and developing beneficial working relationships.
- Project Management & Coordination:
- Ensure effective internal team communication flow.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with trade partners and the design team.
- Manage project cost control, including monitoring general conditions and labor, managing monthly billing, and reviewing trade partner change pricing.
- Minimize risk by ensuring accurate and complete subcontracts are written and executed promptly, utilizing prequalified trade partners.
- Ensure certificates of insurance are obtained from primary and tiered trade partners.
- Heavy coordination with the superintendent, including frequent site visits to monitor progress.
- Ensure effective and efficient project closeout, including providing documentation to the owner, completing punchlists, and accurate financial closeout.
- Contribute to financial project goals through accurate forecasting and timely submission of billings and tracking of receivables.
- Team Development & Mentorship:
- Become proficient in and utilize Clune's established systems and technology.
- Attend career fairs and client/industry events.
- Contribute to company growth by participating in the intern program and mentoring Interns, Project Engineers, and APMs.
- Professionally role model for Interns, Project Engineers, and APMs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role may have supervisory responsibilities for an Assistant Project Manager, a Project Engineer, and/or an Intern.
