Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in industrial environments, with preference for power generation and distribution
Experience in the oil and gas sector (highly advantageous)
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, control systems, and electrical safety standards
Experience with electrical equipment design, procurement, and installation
Familiarity with relevant industry codes and regulations (e.g., NEC)
Proven ability to be a contributing member in a high-performing team
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Flexibility to travel to field locations up to 25%, or as required
Participation in drug and alcohol program (safety-sensitive position)
Ability to pass a background check
Professional Engineer License (bonus)
Experience with renewable energy technologies (bonus)
Familiarity with SCADA systems and data acquisition (bonus)

Responsibilities

Support development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including technical design, equipment and material specification, ensuring budget and schedule alignment
Contribute to regular project status meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Contribute to the design and specification of electrical systems for power systems projects, including power generation equipment, transformers, low/medium/high voltage cable and wiring
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations
Develop and review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
Manage the procurement of electrical equipment from vendors
Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems at field locations, both domestically and internationally
