Job Description: Project Coordinator (Audio Description)

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator will report directly to the International Operations Manager for AD operations. This position will support the daily operations of the European audio description operations team in the creation of Audio Description (AD) in multiple European languages through all phases of production.

Requirements

• General knowledge of audio description guidelines.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets is a must.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to issues impacting blind and low vision communities and commitment to seeking innovative solutions to challenges.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate production schedules and reports.
• Highly motivated, willingness to learn and to support DVW in its goal of expanding accessibility of blind/low vision people to media content.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Advanced level in English.
• Experience in an audio description or localization operations capacity would be a great addition.
• Fluency in at least one of the following spoken/written languages: Hungarian, Russian, Czech, Turkish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the EU operations team in coordinating the creation of audio description in multiple European languages for blind and visually impaired audiences.
• Assist in assigning, scheduling, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate production schedules and reports.
• Provide administrative support as needed in recruiting and screening Audio Description writers and narrators.
• Manage back-end systems for client-specific applications.
