Responsibilities

  • Capture updates and information from all areas of the business at all levels to determine next steps on projects
  • Develop skills to effectively plan and control multi-million pound projects
  • Work with partners throughout the organisation in a fast-paced environment
  • Gain insight into all stages of the missile lifecycle, from assessment phases to manufacturing and development
  • Promote innovative thinking and contribute new ideas
  • Deliver specific tasks on defined projects, progressing to more responsibility as confidence and knowledge grow
  • Build networks across the business, including Project Managers, Commercial, Manufacturing, Technical, and Engineering teams, as well as the Ministry of Defence and customers
  • Undertake placements with the Business & Project Management team and Project Management Office
  • Complete training on essential programmes such as Primavera, SAP, and ARM to plan at a detailed level, assign costs, and identify/mitigate risks
  • Study for a Level 3 Project Controls Technician Apprenticeship (4-year programme: 3 years academic at London Metropolitan College + 1 year on-the-job learning)
