Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end global trade operations, including import/export processes, documentation, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and company policies
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Malaysia customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance requirements
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary process updates to maintain compliance
  • Serve as the focal point for internal teams (Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Legal) and external partners (customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies)
  • Provide guidance and support on customs and trade-related inquiries
  • Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize trade operations efficiency and reduce costs
  • Prepare and present trade compliance reports and performance metrics to leadership
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections
