Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics or global trade operations and customs compliance
Strong knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations and global trade requirements
Proficiency in ERP and trade compliance systems (SAP, Oracle)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Certified International Trade Professional) - preferred
Experience in managing global trade programs in a multinational environment - preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage end-to-end global trade operations, including import/export processes, documentation, and compliance
Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and company policies
Act as the subject matter expert on Malaysia customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance requirements
Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary process updates to maintain compliance
Serve as the focal point for internal teams (Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Legal) and external partners (customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies)
Provide guidance and support on customs and trade-related inquiries
Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize trade operations efficiency and reduce costs
Prepare and present trade compliance reports and performance metrics to leadership
Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections
