Requirements

  • 6+ years of total experience, including 4+ years in ICM/SPM (Incentive Compensation Management/Sales Performance Management) modeling and delivery
  • Background in accounting or finance, ideally with a strong focus on sales compensation accounting and financial modeling. Accounting certification, training, or formal education preferred
  • Knowledge of ASC 340, ASC 606, or IFRS 15 related to commission capitalization, amortization, and sales compensation accounting structures
  • Proven customer-facing consulting/implementation experience across all project phases: requirements gathering, solution design, stakeholder management, UAT, launch, and issue escalation

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire project lifecycle for complex implementations, with a focus on discovery, solution design, build, testing, and launch of models that integrate compensation, aggregation, and accounting/reporting requirements
  • Architect and build scalable calculation models in CaptivateIQ, owning model quality, performance, and long-term hygiene while maximizing efficiency and repeatability
  • Serve as the technical and accounting escalation point on internal and partner-led projects, guiding consultants via solution checkpoints and ensuring alignment with best practices
  • Leverage deep accounting expertise to develop and maintain compliance-aligned best practices for using CaptivateIQ, specifically related to ASC 340, ASC 606, or IFRS 15 (commission capitalization and amortization)
  • Translate unique customer requirements—covering both compensation plans and accounting methodologies—into efficient, repeatable system configurations
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success on priorities and delivery
  • Contribute to the team by developing best practices, templates, and standards to raise modeling and delivery quality across the organization
