Requirements

Ability to perform mechanical and machine component repair, troubleshooting mechanical fluid and utility systems
Skills in machine modifications, improvements, fabrication, machining, welding, installation, or rearrangement of equipment
Proficiency in using precision tools and equipment for mechanical maintenance jobs
Knowledge of plant and department procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality, and general plant safety rules
Certification for tank entry, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry procedures
Ability to lead other employees, direct one or two maintenance personnel, fill in for Crew leader, and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Capability to record and communicate shift activity in an organized manner
Ability to audit equipment and develop replacement part documents
Availability for night shift (6:30pm - 6:30am)

Responsibilities

Mechanical and machine component repair, troubleshooting mechanical fluid and utility systems
Machine modifications and improvements; fabrication, machining, welding, installation or rearrangement of new or existing equipment
Total plant and facility maintenance
Use precision tools and equipment to complete mechanical maintenance jobs
Follow all plant and department procedures, GMPs, Quality, and safety rules
Lead other employees, direct maintenance personnel, fill in for Crew leader, and provide OJT
Record and communicate shift activity
Audit equipment and develop replacement part documents
Provide support to primary plant operations, including responding to equipment emergencies, performing mechanical PMs, equipment lubrication, and design/fabrication of mechanical items per work orders
Cover total plant equipment including packaging lines, processing, drying, filling, HVAC, warehouse, Agglomerator, backflow preventers, seamers, pumps, and cafeteria
