Responsibilities

  • Comprehend the needs and requirements of customers or business partners to bring strategic value while promoting customer needs as the key driver for business goals and initiatives
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships across the company to leverage ideas, capabilities, and processes
  • Instill an enthusiastic response in others toward achieving company goals and priorities, and arouse others' commitment and support, even in unknown territory
  • Unify internal constituents around a common vision and goals, and team with others for enhanced outcomes
  • Support product supply and inventory plans consistent with the objectives of the business or product line
  • Create a production plan for the assigned module and final production areas, considering customer order status, forecast, material availability, production equipment issues, ECN activity, and other related production issues to satisfy customer delivery performance and financial objectives, based on established priorities
  • Assist in resolving circumstances causing delivery not in compliance with customer want dates or excess and slow-moving inventory, identifying causes and developing solutions to improve current and future performance
  • Provide material status and action plans to business unit, materials management, and supply source organizations
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials for existing products
  • Support implementation of Bill of Material changes from Engineering Change Notices and maintain inventory and Bill of Material information to ensure accurate generation of parts lists for product supply sources
  • Develop knowledge of Material Requirements Planning by assisting Supply Analysts plan the phase-in and/or phase-out of products
  • Identify unique components for products being phased out or inactivated, preparing mechanisms for tracking inventory of unique components to ensure use-up plan minimizes excess and/or obsolete inventory
  • Monitor product phase-in/out plans to minimize excess or obsolete inventory and issue progress reports during the phase-out period
  • Develop an understanding of product life cycle planning including master scheduling, new product introduction, product phase-in/out, and inventory planning, and provide backup support to Production Control Technical Analysts
  • Work to achieve annual inventory reduction and customer service performance targets
  • Adopt new technologies to enhance performance and leverage knowledge and information for driving competitive advantage
  • Foster an environment where technological innovations are recognized and rewarded
  • Identify core value-adding processes and maximize their performance and productivity
  • Integrate and streamline processes throughout the supply chain and ensure adoption of best practices for maximum efficiency
  • Promote an environment in which information flows freely among all levels of the organization and anticipate and meet the information needs of all relevant constituents
