Requirements

High school degree or GED
Mechanical aptitude
Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to the position
Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system
Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent

Responsibilities

Safely handle and fill gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and Airgas standard operating procedures
Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards
Conduct safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves
Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures
Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders
Prepare high-pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling; attach to manifold, evacuate cylinders to eliminate contaminants
Fill cylinders by pressure and weight per regulations and standards
Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on and off pallets and tractor trailers
Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets as required
Understand hazards of various gases; read and interpret cylinder labels and color-coding of tanks; accurately label cylinders
Other duties as assigned
