Requirements

  • Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to the position
  • Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and fill gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and Airgas standard operating procedures
  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards
  • Conduct safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves
  • Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures
  • Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders
  • Prepare high-pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling; attach to manifold, evacuate cylinders to eliminate contaminants
  • Fill cylinders by pressure and weight per regulations and standards
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on and off pallets and tractor trailers
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
  • Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets as required
  • Understand hazards of various gases; read and interpret cylinder labels and color-coding of tanks; accurately label cylinders
  • Other duties as assigned
