Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time and complete tasks using a microscope
- The ability to follow both verbal and written instructions along with strong communication skills (in English)
- Capability to use a computer and enter accurate data (Microsoft Office experience is a plus)
- Being flexible to changing needs of the business and department and willing to work overtime as needed
- Good manual dexterity
- Highly organized, self-managed individual who works independently and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope preferred
- Good hand eye coordination while using a microscope (desired)
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tasks in Product Assembly, bonding, potting, mixing epoxy, installing covers and other plastic/metal components
- Read blueprints, diagrams, or established operations practices to assemble and install various probe components
- Perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation
- Complete other duties as assigned and possibly to other areas: Wiring, Epoxy, Final Assembly/Lensing
- Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy to perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly
- Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed to assemble various electronic components
- Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations by using common hand tools such as: Wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and using small hand tools and soldering equipment
- May operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly/production equipment
