Requirements
Candidates should have 2+ years of software engineering experience building web applications and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Familiarity with VC or start-up culture is a plus, and knowledge of AWS tools and platforms such as ECS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch is also a plus. Strong programming skills and experience developing products from 0 to 1 are required, along with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
The Product Software Engineer will help build and improve Pear's internal tools to support founders and the investment team. They will build tools and datasets to enable unique Pear Programs such as Garage, PearX, and Builders. Responsibilities include architecting scalable systems for thousands of concurrent users and making tradeoffs across vendors, open source, and custom-built software to accomplish goals quickly. This role also requires strong online research skills.
