Requirements

7 or more years of IT and/or data science experience
Experience in applications development (C++, Python, R, .Net)
Experience in database development and querying (SQL, AWS, data pipelining, big data)
Experience with marketing, R&D, manufacturing and finance datasets
Ideally, experience in a global role, interfacing with multiple stakeholders in different time zones
Exhibits a very high degree of professional proficiency in an appropriate discipline
Good understanding of tire designs and manufacturing process
High level of curiosity for new, unexplored paths, including AI and agility in approach

Responsibilities

Drive Data and IT capabilities development required by the PLO team to optimize product lifecycle
Design, deliver and lead the development of tools and architectures needed by PLO for decision-making
Maintain and upgrade existing capabilities
Automate analytical activities, link existing data across the company, and introduce AI capabilities where applicable
Lead and/or sponsor IT projects for PLO, anticipating issues and mitigating them with relevant project managers
Manage projects, proactively identify needs and solutions, perform data analytics, develop IT architectures and applications
Work with cross-functional teams, manage resources by influence, provide thought leadership for PLO-related IT/Data capabilities
Be responsible for all analytical capabilities used or needed by PLO, from design to implementation to maintenance
Explore use of advanced technologies and techniques (AI, modeling) in platforming and benchmarking
Work globally with PLO, Data Science teams, Data Architects and other functions across regions
Lead external work with IT contractors where applicable
Develop required architectures, tools and applications based on Benchmarking, Platform Analytics teams and Program Manager's needs, with strong focus on speed of execution
Present developed capabilities and created value to leadership, gather feedback and implement improvements
Maintain existing applications with help of relevant functions and resources, fix bugs, identify and implement upgrades using agile development
Explore AI to automate benchmarking analytics and optimize future platforms definition; lead integration into standard operating processes
Ensure continuous alignment and communication with Data Science and IT teams to leverage internal knowledge and reuse existing data
Identify new sources of truth to automate analytics and PLO scenarios quantification
