Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field
2-3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Semiconductor industry
Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (JMP, Minitab, SQL) and exposure to Python/R for data science
Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage)
Up to date on Industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and smart factory trends
Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or client meetings
Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus

Responsibilities

Play a crucial role in HDD-Media-Head performance characterization
Guide Media Process Engineering team to optimize process to deliver best Media performance at HDD
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product specifications and requirements (PM, Development and Process Engineering teams)
Optimize existing products for improved yield performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
Support Media performance optimization from development to high volume production
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing processes
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Drive digitalization initiatives in manufacturing
Implement data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics
Utilize AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield, reliability, and performance trends
Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for KPI monitoring
