Requirements

  • Currently studying towards any degree subject
  • British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
  • Able to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience in contract management and different types of agreements with a wide range of monetary values (Procurement)
  • Learn and apply negotiating and influencing skills (Procurement)
  • Complete an individual project with objectives and challenges (Procurement)
  • Procure Mechanical or Electrical parts such as castings, machining, plastics, optics, cables, connectors and test equipment (Direct Procurement)
  • Procure various services and items such as facilities management, security, offload services, contingent workers, HR, travel, consulting services, information management (IM), software licences, networks and telecoms (Indirect Procurement)
  • Collaborate with departments, internal partners and suppliers (Supply Chain Management)
  • Manage and improve supplier performance through continuous risk assessment, identifying, collecting and mitigating risks (Supply Chain Management)
  • Complete set projects and tasks with provided training and mentoring
  • Suggest new ways of working adopting continuous improvement ethos
  • Travel to meet suppliers and/or multi-national teams as required (subject to placement)
