Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Apply coatings and paints to aerospace parts using spray equipment or manual techniques
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, roughen, or prepare surfaces for coating
  • Prepare parts for finishing by masking and unmasking components according to work instructions
  • Ensure uniform and defect-free finishes by carefully following process guidelines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications to determine finishing requirements
  • Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards
  • Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Follow safety procedures and properly handle hazardous materials, including paints and solvents
  • Complete production logs and documentation as required
