Requirements

Expertise in continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing/Toyota Production Systems, Six-Sigma, 5S/6S, Total Productive Maintenance, Kaizen Events, Value Stream Maps, DOEs, FMEAs, and Advanced Problem-Solving
Ability to conduct data analysis on scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage, and prepare charts/reports for data-driven decisions
Knowledge of process control, variation reduction, and process capability improvement to ensure product quality and standards adherence
Experience in developing engineering procedures, SOPs/SOCs, training programs, and work cell layouts for material flow optimization and 5S/visual management
Capability to lead cost reduction initiatives, brainstorming sessions, and action plans for profit improvement (e.g., reducing utilities, cycle times, scrap, downtime, material variance, labor)
Proficiency in supporting capital projects, including scope definitions (capabilities, throughput, controls, parameters, data acquisition), RFQs, and execution plans (installation, HSE, training, ramp-up)
Participation in occupational health and safety activities, including leading near miss, hazard, and incident reporting

Responsibilities

Support operations by leading and directing technical activities to solve problems across the facility
Develop and maintain process guidelines (SOP/SOC) and training programs for new products and systems
Conduct data analysis of scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage; prepare charts and reports for plant team decisions
Reduce process variation to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to manufacturing/agency standards
Lead cost reduction initiatives through materials, product, and process improvements; facilitate WCI/PIP brainstorming and action plans
Utilize continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) and update manufacturing standards based on performance improvements
Develop work cell layouts to optimize material flow and support 5S/visual management
Initiate new equipment/technologies, including scope definitions, RFQs, and execution timeline plans
Participate and lead in near miss, hazard, and incident reporting for occupational health and safety
