Requirements

Ability to perform scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures according to USV/FMS policies, procedures, state, and federal regulations
Knowledge of maintaining sterile technique under fluoroscopy
Scope of practice for preparing and administering medications per state regulations
Compliance with HIPAA policies and standards for patient confidentiality
Ability to inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment and instruments
Participation in regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans

Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment prior to procedures
Clean procedure room, equipment, and machinery post-procedure
Prepare patient for procedures (positioning, shaving, prepping)
Prepare and administer medications within scope of practice, draw up IV medications, and label per policy
Perform patient transfers, positioning, and transport to/from procedure room
Act as scrub assistant to physician during procedures, maintaining sterile technique
Perform circulating duties in the procedure room
Maintain environmental integrity, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of all areas daily
Inspect equipment daily before and after procedures, document issues, and communicate problems to supervisor
Assist with instrument sterilization, packaging, inventory, ordering, and re-stocking of supplies to prevent wastage
Support USV quality standards through CQI, regulatory compliance, and action plans
Maintain integrity of medical records and administrative records
Provide clerical support: ensure instruments/equipment availability, print/send images, file paperwork, process/archive x-ray images
Assist with training and orienting new employees on medical equipment
Assist with marketing, educating, promoting, and selling Fresenius Vascular Care services to dialysis clinics, Medical Directors, nephrologists, and medical community
Provide sales and relationship support to assigned territory, identify new accounts, and generate revenue in conjunction with Sales Management and Clinical Specialist
