  • 4+ years of experience as a Contracts Manager, with a focus on privacy or data protection, ideally in the fintech industry
  • Sound understanding of legal principles, contract law, and financial and other privacy regulations (e.g., GLBA, CCPA)
  • Proven track record of communicating complex privacy contract issues effectively and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional project management and time management acumen
  • Ability to adeptly handle multiple contracts concurrently while maintaining a focus on efficient prioritization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end contract negotiation process for assigned privacy-related contracts, from initial drafting and review through negotiation and execution for contracts such as Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and privacy addenda
  • Review and negotiate standard privacy-related clauses in a variety of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, purchase and servicing agreements, and marketing and referral partnership agreements
  • Manage contract modifications, extensions, and amendments related to privacy terms
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of privacy contracts
  • Develop playbooks, checklists, and other privacy-related contract review processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, vendor management, and business teams, to ensure privacy contracts meet business objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on privacy contract-related matters, including interpretation and clarification of terms and risk exposure related to privacy
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including privacy regulations, during contract negotiation
  • Build trust and manage conflicting demands from multiple business clients
