Job Summary

We are searching for the best talent for a Principal Web Applications Engineer, to be located remotely within EST.

Auris Health, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is transforming medical intervention. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation and data science, Auris is building a platform technology capable of expanding the applicability of robotics to a spectrum of medical procedures.

We are looking for a seasoned Web Application Engineer to join a team of hardworking roboticists and software engineers who are trying to seek some of the most difficult problems in medicine today. This role will be responsible for developing web and mobile applications within our Data Platform environment. You should be passionate about developing web applications within an AWS based cloud platform used by teams within Auris, as well as external customers such as doctors and hospital staff. Your ability to work independently, but also on a cross-functional team of peers, is a must. We seek a candidate who is flexible, self-motivated, curious and willing to help us revolutionize the world of medical robotics with data.

Integrated into the data team, your work location will be full-time remote (US Eastern time zone preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide Architectural guidance and leadership to junior developers and vendor resources in the areas of Web/Mobile Development and UX Design.
  • Develop storyboards, information architectures, low- and high-fidelity wireframes, flows and interactive prototypes in support of the Gateway Web Portals.
  • Hands-on Web development experience in a cloud centric environment is a must.
  • Be a strong advocate for user-centered design, backed up by personal expertise, design rational, user data and industry trends.
  • Development responsibilities will include the development of new features on Gateway using Django, React and similar technologies and interacting with backend infrastructure using APIs.
  • Clearly and proactively communicate the design vision, decisions and rationale.
  • Research, test and benchmark new technologies.
  • Create a best-in-class experience and app by iterating and A/B testing all facets of the user experience.
  • Work across multiple concurring projects, with teams in the US and abroad.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline or closely related field.
