  • Mastery of technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, GraphQL, NoSQL (Cassandra/MongoDB), Kafka, and Azure Cloud
  • Strong design sensibility and attention to detail; passion for user experience, operational excellence, and business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve the technical architecture for highly scalable microservices and modern frontend applications (React, Node.js, GraphQL, Java, Spring Boot, NoSQL, Kafka, Azure)
  • Set and align architectural direction across Cart, Checkout, Promotions, Order Amends, and Platform, ensuring seamless integration and a unified customer experience
  • Guide and mentor principal engineers, architects, and managers; be a trusted advisor, shaping best practices, technical direction, and major design decisions
  • Build frameworks, standards, and tools that raise the bar for code quality, reliability, and operational excellence across all teams
  • Lead technical explorations, evaluate emerging technologies, and incubate solutions that future-proof our business
  • Partner closely with product, UX, program management, and global engineering teams; build an environment of psychological safety, learning, and respect for diverse perspectives
  • Embed security, performance, and fault-tolerance into every layer of the stack—from the cloud to the customer’s screen
  • Own and deliver solutions that move critical business metrics, unlock growth, and create best-in-class digital retail experiences for millions
