Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (or higher) in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of active development using C/C++ as a primary programming language
  • Experience with Linux as an operating system
  • 8+ years of experience in technically leading a team of significant size
  • Deep understanding of embedded systems, Linux kernel internals, and firmware development

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and hardware bring-up of NVIDIA HGX GPU baseboards
  • Design and develop firmware, understanding embedded system limitations and Linux kernel internals
  • Work closely with hardware teams to influence hardware design and review hardware architecture & schematics
  • Narrow down performance and resiliency requirements for firmware running on NVIDIA data center products
  • Develop BMC firmware, including manageability features for NVIDIA’s Server platforms
  • Design and implement a CI/CD framework for firmware development
  • Write and review design documents, and work with all collaborators to achieve consensus
  • Design solutions for errors, stats, and configuration for various hardware components (CPU, GPU, DIMM, SSDs, NICs, IB, PSU, BMC, FPGA, CPLD)
  • Actively work to instrument code for maximum code coverage, writing and automating unit tests
  • Mentor team members on best practices for efficient and bug-free code
  • Work with internal and external partners to drive design architecture to real products
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure code aligns with product security goals
