Requirements

  • Expertise in high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, secure hosting, and networking solutions
  • Experience with IT infrastructure including Linux, Windows, UNIX, network devices, server interconnections, mass storage, and supporting services
  • Proficiency overseeing servers running Red Hat, CentOS, SolarisX64, SuSe, Virtual Appliances, with direct attached and FC SAN storage
  • Experience troubleshooting PXE and DHCP boot process
  • Microsoft Exchange policy management, mailbox management, enterprise-level multi-site design, and architecture
  • Tier 3 support for infrastructure services: DNS, NIS, Active Directory, Centrify, Zenoss, SiteScope, HP Openview, HP Oneview, HPSA, HPSE, SPLUNK, Sendmail, Exchange, NetQoS, Infoblox, Nagios, HP Cluster Management
  • Installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting multi-vendor servers with COTS, open source, and in-house applications
  • Experience with large SPU, memory SMP systems, and clusters with many cores
  • Enterprise client-server configurations (Group Policy, Centrify, DNS, LDAP)
  • Linux scripting (Bash, Perl, etc.) and Logical Volume Management (LVM)
  • Distributed filesystems and multi-vendor filesystems (XFS, GPFS, CXFS, EXT4, CIFS, NFS)
  • Clustered blade systems and interconnects (iSCSI, SAS, FC, TCP/IP)
  • Advanced Red Hat/CentOS and Microsoft Windows OS (including Group Policy)
  • Enterprise Active Directory/Centrify zone management (creation, update, RBAC)
  • Thin client solutions (Virtual bridges, Centrify, VPN, NoMachine NX Virtual Desktop)
  • Enterprise virtualization: VMWare, vSphere, vCenter, vRealize Automation, vSAN, vSwitch, Distributed Switch, Console management
  • OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Distributed computing tools: ReS, LSF, SLURM
  • HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, front-end servers, special purpose devices (SPDs), IBM/HP blade servers with FC/SAS/Network backends
  • Office presence 5 days per week in Ft. Meade, MD 20755 (no relocation)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee servers running Red Hat, CentOS, SolarisX64, SuSe, Virtual Appliances, with direct attached and FC SAN storage
  • Troubleshoot PXE and DHCP boot process
  • Perform Microsoft Exchange policy management, mailbox management, enterprise-level multi-site design, and architecture
  • Support Tier 3 infrastructure services: DNS, NIS, Active Directory, Centrify, Zenoss, SiteScope, HP Openview, HP Oneview, HPSA, HPSE, SPLUNK, Sendmail, Exchange, NetQoS, Infoblox, Nagios, HP Cluster Management
  • Install, configure, tune, and troubleshoot multi-vendor servers running COTS, open source, and in-house applications
  • Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of multi-vendor servers for HPC Division IT support, including Red Hat/SuSe with direct attached, FC SAN storage, or SSDs
  • Manage HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, front-end servers of special purpose devices (SPDs), IBM/HP blade servers
  • Support installation, configuration, and networking of Linux and Windows-based platforms in a large client-based IT enterprise
