Requirements

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data science
5+ years specifically focused on AI and NLP applications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
Extensive experience in NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers)
Extensive experience in frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for model development
Demonstrated ability to process and analyze large textual datasets, extracting meaningful insights, building predictive models, using generative AI techniques
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

Design AI solutions using Python, computer vision, and generative models like LLMs and diffusion models
Ensure responsible development aligned with Humana’s ethical standards, focusing on transparency, safety, and real-world impact
Design autonomous AI agents using frameworks (i.e. LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) to support reasoning and decision-making in healthcare
Embed AI into Humana’s systems and workflows
Partner with business teams to understand challenges, co-create solutions, and communicate AI capabilities clearly
Design for scalability, reliability, and compliance
Work with engineering and product teams to implement best practices for deploying and maintaining AI models in production
Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics
Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies
Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance
