Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 5 years of experience as Principal Data Engineer (or similar) building CI/CD pipelines for software applications in hybrid cloud environment, OR Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in similar field and 3 years of such experience
Demonstrated Expertise building CI/CD pipelines using DevOps methodologies, Jenkins, uDeploy, Ansible, Terraform, and Python in Financial Services domain
Demonstrated Expertise building data warehouses and ETL development using Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, SnapLogic, Control-M, and UNIX
Demonstrated Expertise building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application code using Jenkins, GitHub, and uDeploy
Demonstrated Expertise developing Big Data solutions on Hadoop using Hive/Spark SQL, Python, and R
Demonstrated Expertise storing data in WORM Compliant storage for compliance and data masking using IBM Optim
Demonstrated Expertise developing Cloud-native applications and migrating on-premises data-centric applications to Cloud using Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Datadog, Docker, and AWS

Responsibilities

Design and architect Cloud native applications using AWS
Coordinate relational databases and data operations using SQL and Oracle PL
Provide a single platform for data warehousing, lakes, engineering, science, application development, and secure data sharing using SaaS and Snowflake
Automate code integration using CI/CD practices and Jenkins
Automate manual processes using Python and Shell Scripting
Adhere to Agile practices to enhance efficiency
Promote development of Data Applications and Frameworks using Python and Spark
Create efficient designs for data storage and retrieval for applications and batch processing using SQL performance tuning
Participate in architecture design teams
Define and implement application-level architecture
Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems
Recommend development testing tools and methodologies; review and validate test plans
Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables
Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems
Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms
Meet project goals on-time and on-budget
Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies
Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments for multiple projects
Act as primary liaison for business units to resolve project/technology issues
Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates
Advise senior management on technical strategy
Mentor junior team members
Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects
Develop original and creative technical solutions for ongoing development efforts
