Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and threat analysis. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, incident response methodologies, and security tools is essential, as is the ability to analyze complex security incidents and develop effective remediation strategies.
The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for leading incident response activities, including investigating and closing security incidents, creating and presenting reports to stakeholders, and monitoring and analyzing cyber threats and vulnerabilities. They will also develop and implement security processes and procedures, participate in post-incident reviews, and provide technical leadership to the incident response team, mentoring junior analysts and guiding them through complex investigations. Furthermore, this role involves collaborating with internal and external teams to manage incident response and post-incident activities, and staying current on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
