Principal Associate, Windows Platform Engineer

As part of our Platform Engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to lead innovation and help drive modernization of Windows endpoint technologies across the enterprise.

Position Overview

This role focuses on engineering and modernizing Windows endpoint technologies across the enterprise.

General Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
• Continuously improve Windows engineering practices through automation, configuration as code, and telemetry.
• Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement secure and scalable solutions for Windows enterprise devices.
• Leverage scripting languages like Powershell, Python, and SQL to automate configurations, health checks, and remediation workflows.
• Utilize endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and Azure Entra ID for device lifecycle management.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends and OS Internals, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
• Integrate with monitoring, logging, and orchestration platforms including Azure Log Analytics, Azure Automation, Git, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in Endpoint Management, Windows Configuration, and Patch Management.
• At least 3 years of experience with Python, Powershell, or Shell Scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Windows internals, including the Windows Kernel, WMI, UEFI or BIOS, and system services.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure or AWS services for endpoint telemetry, compliance, and automation.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment.
• 2+ years of Cyber Security Advisory or Cyber Third Party Risk management experience.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).

Salary Information

• McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Senior Platform Engineer
• Plano, TX: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer
• Richmond, VA: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer

Note: Salaries are for candidates hired to work within the specified locations. Actual annualized salary will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
