Responsibilities
- Provides customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, promoting products/services, and maintaining a safe environment
- Maintains merchandise presentation in the Optical area by stocking/rotating merchandise, removing damaged/out-of-date goods, setting up/cleaning/organizing displays, signing/pricing merchandise, and securing fragile/high-shrink items
- Maintains the Optical area per company policies by handling claims/returns, zoning the area, arranging/organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink/damages, and ensuring a safe work environment
- Receives/stocks merchandise/supplies from distribution centers/suppliers, organizes/maintains the Optical area, follows procedures, utilizes equipment, merchandises, and completes/retains paperwork/logs/documentation
- Operates cash registers and tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for payment types and items
- Sells Optical products/services by assisting with decisions, measuring/adjusting/repairing frames/lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, completing/maintaining paperwork, collecting payments for doctor services, and recording optometric pretest results
