Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 4 years of experience supporting governments and/or communities in earth observation, demonstrating expertise with geospatial software packages such as QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, and GDAL. Strong programming skills in Python for image processing, data manipulation, API interaction, and pipeline development are required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to coordinate with international customers and sales teams.

Responsibilities

As a PreSales Solutions Engineer, the candidate will build and deliver presentations and product demonstrations showcasing Planet’s platform capabilities, establish relationships with customers as a trusted advisor, recommend solution architectures to address customer challenges, collaborate with internal teams to represent the customer’s voice, assist with tender responses, and attain sales objectives. They will also interface with other PreSales Engineers globally, mentor team members, and lead training sessions, while proactively seeking to learn new technologies and industries.
