Requirements

Good hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL
Skilled with PostgreSQL ecosystem tools and technologies
Knowledgeable about performance tuning, query optimization, and index tuning
Experience with backup solutions such as pg base backup, pgBackRest, and WAL-G
Familiarity with high availability solutions (replication, routers, proxies, etc.)
Good understanding of monitoring requirements
Demonstrable experience of administering Linux-based systems
Ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying and applying fixes for known errors, and thinking outside the box for complex issues
Ability to communicate findings clearly in email, instant message, or voice
Experience working with customers in English
Experience with PostgreSQL Provided tools and Contribution modules
Experience with Point-in-Time-Recovery

Responsibilities

Assist customer DBA teams with expert assistance
Gather relevant data and investigate issues
Provide detailed analysis of findings in a digestible format (email, IM, voice)
Perform screen-sharing sessions to help resolve issues
Author blog posts on interesting database topics
Answer questions on the Percona forum
Create articles for the customer-facing knowledge base
Host webinars
Potentially travel for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits
