Requirements

5+ years of experience with Postgres security, encryption, RLS, and permissions
Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals (parser, planner, WAL mechanics, MVCC)
Hands-on experience building extensions in C and Rust
Strong troubleshooting skills for managed PostgreSQL deployments
Experience building testing and owning idempotent deployment to many thousands of running postgres instances
Experience with PostgreSQL's background worker framework, shared memory management, and hook system
Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in async or globally distributed teams
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly

Responsibilities

Maintain and expand the stability and functionality of the hosted Postgres offering
Work closely with customers, partners, product, engineering, support, and success teams
Diagnose issues with custom extensions, analyze core dumps, and resolve performance problems
Work with complex extension ecosystems and understand extension compatibility, upgrade paths, and potential conflicts
