Requirements

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline such as economics, epidemiology, health services, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, or another relevant science. Experience in health economic and outcomes research (HEOR), health services research (HSR), or real-world evidence (RWE) is preferred. Strong analytical skills, including expertise in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, observational/epidemiologic research, and health technology assessment, are required. Familiarity with common statistical software and an understanding of clinical, economic, and patient-reported outcomes methodologies are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Research Scientist will develop health outcomes research for patients, population-based decision-makers, and providers, focusing on disease states and health services of interest to Lilly. They will execute health outcomes studies, conduct analytics, and utilize analytical tools. The role involves communicating study findings to internal audiences and disseminating them to the scientific community, collaborating with medical affairs and commercial teams, and supporting the Lilly portfolio of medications by increasing or developing knowledge and use of real-world evidence, patient-focused outcomes, economic modeling, and health technology assessment submissions. The candidate will also contribute to the development of various types of research studies for publication and increase understanding of healthcare systems in the US and clinical trial research.
