High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent
Able to read and write
Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors
Must be in good physical condition; routine lifting and manipulation of dry ice blocks ranging from 5-60 pounds
Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, or bend
Ability to work in unconditioned space (warm in summer, cool in winter), with hazards requiring PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves)
Ability to function safely in a noisy environment with elevated CO2 vapor levels
Ability to work shift work

Responsibilities

Loads and packages dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards
Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures
Performs clean-up functions including sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal, and pick-up
Follows any other reasonable instructions and performs any other related duties as required by supervisor
Performs job in a safe manner in keeping with established Airgas policies
