Requirements

  • Ability to conduct annual reviews of the physical security program at corporate buildings to ensure compliance with Physical Security Standards and Procedures
  • Ability to conduct building risk classification assessments for all corporate back-office locations throughout assigned region per the risk classification process
  • Ability to act as liaison with building security and landlords to share intelligence and address physical security concerns and areas for improvement
  • Ability to manage regional portfolio of physical security projects for retail branches and ATMs, ensuring compliance with Santander Security Standards
  • Ability to develop security plans for building, branches, and ATMs taking into account Design, Approval, Funding, Implementation, Assurance, and Training to ensure that projects meet started schedules
  • Ability to conduct annual branch and Remote ATM site inspections to identify potential issues or gaps in security measures
  • Ability to oversee parking lot security and valet services to ensure team member safety
  • Ability to conduct physical security device inspections in back offices without assigned security staff and coordinate inspections with locations with security staff
  • Ability to manage contract security staff within assigned region including updating post orders, reviewing guard tours results, reviewing incident reports, and periodic staff inspections
  • Ability to ensure incidents and threats are appropriately escalated per the Corporate Security Incident Response Procedure and cases are properly documented in the case management system
  • Ability to respond to threats in the workplace, coordinate with law enforcement, and arrange measures to protect colleagues at risk per the Workplace Threat Response Procedure
  • Ability to provide support for life safety programs including onsite coverage for evacuation drills, inspection of safety hazards, training, AED, etc
  • Ability to conduct assigned investigations related to bank robbery, workplace violence, ATM attacks, insider threats, and outside threats that may impact Santander or its employees
  • Ability to develop liaison with local and federal law enforcement as well as industry peers
  • Ability to assist with providing protective services for corporate events and board meetings as needed
  • Ability to assist Human Resources to provide security during high-risk employee terminations

Responsibilities

  • Managing life safety & physical security activities for assigned facilities
  • Oversight and management of contract security staff and the buildings critical security systems (access control, CCTV and Alarm)
  • Developing and implementing security & life safety procedures and standards to ensure compliance with Santander's policies
  • Developing and maintaining the buildings emergency response plans and ensuring compliance with local fire codes and life safety standards
  • Fostering relationships with building tenants, Santander's businesses, security integrators, neighboring businesses, and with local police and fire department officials
