Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and empathetic Phone/Intake Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their families, conducting intake consultations, reviewing service options, and discussing insurance-related matters. Your ability to communicate clearly and supportively will help guide clients toward the services they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake consultations with potential clients or family members over the phone.
• Explain available services (ABA, HCBS, CFTSS, Peer Support) in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Gather client demographic and insurance information and input it into the system accurately.
• Discuss insurance issues or policy changes with parents or guardians.
• Coordinate with internal staff to ensure a smooth intake and service initiation process.
• Follow up with clients as needed regarding documentation, eligibility, or program status.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all communication and updates.
• Answer inbound calls and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a healthcare, social services, or behavioral health setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ABA, HCBS, CFTSS, and peer support services is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and general healthcare coverage processes.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Empathy, professionalism, and a client-centered attitude.
• Proficiency in using phone systems, data entry software, and basic office tools.
