Candidates must possess a certification/license as a pharmacy technician or as required by state law, one or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience, a verifiable High School Diploma or GED, and potentially PTCB National Certification and five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
As a Back-End Pharmacy Technician, responsibilities include ensuring all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients, working in various pharmacy workstations such as packaging, staging, returns, receiving, narcotics, IV, Ekit, compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and machine packaging, receiving product deliveries, pulling and staging product for distribution, rotating stock, coordinating activities with drivers, performing physical inventories of medication, and assisting in the accurate and timely distribution of medications.
