Responsibilities

  • Live the company's purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching the team, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
  • Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding for the store and district, including CVS workflow training, and ensure timely completion of required training/licensure
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues to Rx DL as needed
  • Partner with Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues for pharmacy work and ensure timely training/licensure completion
  • Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
